Faculty Recognized at Second Annual Authors & Artists Event

The Office of the Provost and University Libraries co-hosted a celebration of the creative, distinguished and dedicated works of the Florida Atlantic University community at the second annual Authors & Artists event on Feb. 12. Florida Atlantic faculty and staff, along with several college deans and other university leadership, gathered at the Wimberly Library on the Boca Raton campus to recognize the winners for works published during the previous school year.

Congratulations to the following Charles E. Schmidt College of Science faculty winners!

  • Ashkaan Fahimipour, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Department of Biological Sciences
  • Vivian Merk, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry
  • Wolfgang Tichy, Ph.D., Professor, Department of Physics

The event aims to highlight the scope and variety of scholarly and creative efforts from across the University. It also serves as an opportunity for Florida Atlantic faculty and staff to share ideas and collaborate on projects.
