General requirements and instructions for applying are available from the FAU Graduate College. The Department of Urban and Regional Planning is within the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science.

What You Will Need to Apply
Transcripts from all previous college-level coursework. For domestic students, these can be submitted electronically. For international student, paper-copy, English transcripts must be mailed directly to the Graduate College. Learn more.
A Personal Statement that explains how the Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree fits into your overall career plans and long-term goals. You can also explain here why the program at FAU suits your needs, or how your life history led you to an urban planning career.
Letters of Recommendation
Letters of Recommendation are strongly encouraged. At least one letter of recommendation should be from a college-level instructor. Please include your letters of recommendation within your application through the GradCas online system.
GRE Scores (Optional)
GRE Scores are optional. Please include your GRE scores if they help establish your capabilities for successful graduate-level work.
TOEFL (For international students)
TOEFL or similar test scores of English fluency are required for foreign students.
Most application materials are submitted through GradCas. International students should mail English-translated paper copies of all transcripts to the FAU Graduate College. Learn more.
Applications and all supporting materials and test scores must be received by the dates below for consideration. Late applications will automatically be processed for the next term.
Cost of attendance information is available from the FAU Financial Aid department. Plan for 24 credit hours per year for full-time enrolment and 12 credit hours per year for part-time enrollment.
