NAI Welcomes Four New Members

Four FAU researchers were recently inducted into the FAU chapter of the National Academy of Inventors (NAI), a non-profit organization established to recognize inventors for accomplishments in research and commercialization, and enhance the visibility of scientific innovation.

Congratulations to the new members:

  • Waseem Asghar, Ph.D., an associate professor in the College of Engineering and Computer Science
  • Alberto Haces, Ph.D., senior instructor in the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science
  • Lawrence Toll, Ph.D., professor in the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine
  • Esther Guzmán, Ph.D., associate research professor in the Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute

FAU's NAI chapter is one of more than 50 university chapters across the country.

The researchers are slated to be publicly recognized by Daniel C. Flynn, Ph.D., vice president for Research, and Dana Vouglitois, associate director of Technology Development.
