Earning a Digital Badge

Along with other public Florida post-secondary institutions, FAU now offers a mandatory Fundamentals of Written Communications digital badge to students who complete specific college courses associated with that field.
The FAU course catalog identifies the general education courses that are linked to earning this digital badge. This badge is the first of many that will allow students to showcase achievements and the skills they have learned through related courses that contribute to career readiness.
Students can highlight these skills on resumes, job applications, and social media platforms such as Linkedin. These badges help students identify competencies employers want and need in today’s job market. Digital badges are automatically awarded and reported by FAU upon successful completion of the courses associated with the badge and added to the student academic transcript.
