Center for Teaching and Learning Earns ICLCA Award for Second Time
FAU’s Center for Teaching and Learning has earned the 2023 Frank L. Christ Outstanding Learning Center Award, given by the ICLCA.
Florida Atlantic University’s Center for Teaching and Learning has earned the 2023 Frank L. Christ Outstanding Learning Center Award, given by the International College Learning Center Association (ICLCA) at the organization’s annual conference. Having received this same award in 2013, FAU is now the first, two-time recipient of this achievement.
“We are excited to be selected for this prestigious award as it helps confirm what we already know – that we have an incredible team of staff working with the single goal of helping to support student success,” said Jennifer Bebergal, Ed.D., associate dean for academic support and student learning at the CTL. “To be selected by our peers as the top learning center in the world helps celebrate the exceptionally talented people that work to make student success our top priority, as this award demonstrates the impact we have had in helping FAU students meet those educational goals.”
The purpose of the ICLCA Frank L. Christ Outstanding Learning Center Award is to give national recognition to the work done by learning centers and to foster their future growth and development. Each year, the ICLCA may recognize two learning assistance centers for excellence: one, two-year college (technical, community, etc.), and one, four-year college or university.
