More than 300 people attended the Florida Developmental Research Schools Conference hosted by Florida Atlantic University’s A.D. Henderson University School on the Boca Raton campus on August 3.

“As we begin a new school year, we are excited about equipping teachers across the state with time tested instructional programs in an effort to provide continuous improvement for all of our students in Florida,” said Joel Herbst, Ed.D., assistant dean of PK-12 schools and educational programs.

The conference is a one-day forum for Florida’s teaching professionals coordinated by FAU and the state’s other developmental research schools – Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, Florida State University and the University of Florida. This year’s conference theme was “Innovate” and showcased classroom best practices from schools across the state.

Presentation topics included improving student performance outcomes, latest technology trends for students and school safety.
