FAU to Host 2019 Pre-Health Professions and Graduate Week

Florida Atlantic University's Charles E. Schmidt College of Science is bringing health-related graduate programs and its students together for the 2019 Pre-Health Professions Week and Graduate Fair from Monday, March 18 through Friday, March 22 at the Boca Raton campus. 

A number of activities will be offered throughout the week for FAU students interested in pursuing a career in health care. More than 40 admissions’ representatives will be in attendance from health-related graduate schools and programs, including: medical, dental, pharmacy, physician assistant, physical therapy, occupational therapy, podiatry, chiropractic, veterinary medicine, optometry and more.

The week will kick off with hands-on health workshops and activities, facilitated by pre-health clubs and organizations. In addition, the activities will include medical student panels, the opportunity to engage with physicians and health professionals, as well as a workshop on joining the fight against domestic violence and the opioids crisis. The week will conclude with a candlelight vigil ceremony.
