FAU Tech Runway to Celebrate 2018 Maverick Reception
FAU Tech Runway® will host its 2018 Maverick Reception on Thursday, Oct. 18 from 6 to 8:45 p.m. at its headquarters, 901 NW 35th St., Boca Raton. Tickets cost $125 per person and the proceeds directly benefit FAU Tech Runway’s entrepreneurs and programs.
The reception will celebrate a year of success and innovation. FAU Tech Runway’s mission of robust support to the University and region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem fosters the growth of students, faculty and local innovators and provides them with the resources they need to thrive as entrepreneurs in one collaborative hub.
“FAU Tech Runway’s annual Maverick Reception is an evening for us to highlight and celebrate the success of our program’s amazing entrepreneurs. We also tip our hats to those incredible supporters who play a crucial role in assisting these entrepreneurs – the FAU Tech Runway mentors, advisory board members, our corporate partners, and the generous donors who enable our companies’ successes,” said Rhys. L. Williams, associate vice president for research and the managing director for FAU Tech Runway®. “The event will feature cutting-edge technology displays, a lively networking space, and personal insights on entrepreneurship shared by two of the most successful entrepreneurs that Florida has ever produced.”
The keynote speakers for the reception are Ron and Jon Antevy, founders and leaders of e-Builder, the pioneer in cloud-based construction management software. Since its start in 1995, e-Builder has enabled global companies, government agencies, healthcare and educational institutions to manage billions of dollars in capital projects more efficiently. Today, e-Builder customers manage more than $300 billion in active projects. The majority of e-Builder’s 250 employees work out of the company’s Plantation, Fla. headquarters.
