Florida Atlantic University Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute today announced a new partnership with MANG® as a tribute to the institute’s key research areas. The cause-driven, American-born apparel company based in West Palm Beach will launch a special FAU Harbor Branch apparel collection featuring three exclusive designs honoring ocean and human health; aquaculture innovation and food security; technological innovation and national defense; and marine ecosystem conservation.

As part of this, MANG® will donate 10 percent of collection sale proceeds to benefit FAU Harbor Branch’s mission: Ocean Science for a Better World®.

“Efforts focusing on the restoration of Florida’s living coastlines are imperative in not only conserving our biodiverse ecosystem, but also protecting what we are so heavily dependent on – the ocean,” said Jim Sullivan, Ph.D., executive director, FAU Harbor Branch. “When the partnership with MANG® became a topic of discussion, there was absolutely no hesitation from our end. Both MANG® and FAU Harbor Branch share passions of restoration, education and ocean sustainability.”

Operating under its “Buy One Plant One” initiative, the MANG® team plants one mangrove along a living coastline for every apparel item sold. Since the company’s inception, MANG® has planted more than 350,000 mangroves in Florida, the Bahamas, Honduras and Africa in specifically targeted areas showing the most need for mangrove restoration. MANG’s® commitment to ecosystem protection and restoration is rooted deeper than just a social giveback initiative. The brand’s dedication to production sustainability and educational opportunities for the next generation of environmentalists creates a comprehensive approach powering environmental change.

“The issues facing our marine ecosystems are complex, and the solutions on how to save and preserve our oceans, plants, and animals for future generations are not simple, either,” said Kyle Rossin, CEO and co-founder of MANG®. “Through education and hands-on opportunities, both FAU Harbor Branch and MANG are showing people how to tangibly make a difference in their communities.”

The MANG® x FAU Harbor Branch collection is available for purchase through December. For more information, visit MANG® .
