Students who have a health and/or medical condition that requires special accommodation or consideration in the room assignment process must contact and register with the Student Accessibility Services.
The specific nature of the student's health and/or medical condition must be identified so we can work with you to meet your needs and make your assignment. Specific written documentation will be requested from you and your physician or diagnostician to support the request; that documentation will be evaluated by the Student Accessibility Services staff and recommendations to the Housing Office will be made regarding appropriate modifications/assignments required to accommodate your specific needs. The process of review does take some time.
The Department of Housing and Residential Education is not able to honor requests for special accommodations without an evaluation from the Student Accessibility Services staff. Students needing accommodations must complete a Housing Contract and Student Accessibility Services paperwork prior to June 1 for the fall semester, or November 1 for the spring semester.
