Use and scheduling

FAU researchers who wish to use the UMRI 3T scanner should consult the University MRI 3T Scanner Utilization Policy for instructions.

In brief, after IRB approval:

An application should be submitted to the FAU MRI Committee who will review the study, requested hours, voucher request, and other pertinent details.
The FAU MRI Committee will provide the investigator with a letter detailing application approvals.
After FAU and UMRI safety and training requirements are met (contact the FAU MRI Technologist for more information), the investigator will recruit, screen and calibrate participants in their study.
The MRI Technologist will schedule and track UMRI 3T use.
