FAU Day of Service 8:00 a.m. Be Owl n' About in the Community! Kick off Homecoming Week by showing your FAU pride in the community! Join Students Advocating Volunteer Involvement (SAVI) and the Weppner Center for Civic Engagement and Service (WCCES) in observing the 2nd Annual FAU Day of Service on Saturday, October 26that 8 a.m. Students, faculty, staff and alumni can volunteer at any one of service project sites that day. HOMECOMING 5K RUN/WALK
COURSE: 5K certified course through the Boca Raton Campus; course begins at the FAU Track & Field Complex on the northwest side of campus. 5K Run/Walk is timed by Accuchip Timing RACE START TIME: 5:15 p.m. AWARDS: Top three (3) Male/Female overall; Top Masters; Top three (3) in five-year age groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24...to 70+ COST: $10 - Under 18 $25 - Pre-registration (until 10/14) $30 - After 10/15 - Race Day FAU Students FREE* *FAU students must pre-register by 10/17 at noon at www.fau.edu/campusrec in order to receive race t-shirt; must be currently enrolled student.
ONE-MILE FUN RUN/WALK COURSE: One-mile fun run around the FAU Track START TIME: 6:15 p.m. AWARDS: Run is non-competitive, medals COST: $10 - 15 and Over $5 - 14 and Under T-SHIRTS: Guaranteed for all pre-registered participants
KIDS RUN COURSE: Free kids run. Ages 8 and under on the FAU Track after one-mile run. START TIME: 6:30 p.m. AMENITIES : T-shirts guaranteed to all pre-registered participants of 5K and One Mile Run/Walk. There will be a bounce house and slide for the kids and food and drinks for all participants.

There will awesome carnival rides and attractions, side-show acts, classic carnival food and lots of chances to win OWL pride prizes.
Homecoming Kick-Off Celebration & Owl Hunt 5:00 p.m. FAU Stadium, Boca Raton Campus Kick off Homecoming Week outside the FAU Stadium and enjoy lots of fun-filled novelties. This event will run from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm, but get there early while the Homecoming giveaway items and the carnival food is still there!

extravaCANza: Canned Food Sculpture Contest 10:00 a.m. SO Building, Boca Raton Campus Come watch student organizations go head to head in this unique Homecoming competition sponsored by the Weppner Center for Civic Engagement & Service and SAVI (Students Advocating Volunteer Involvement)! Teams race against the clock competing to build the best sculpture out of canned food items. All non-perishable items used in the sculpture building are then donated to Boca Helping Hands.
Jupiter Prize Patrol 10:00 a.m. Located Around the Residence Halls, Jupiter Campus Be on the lookout for MacRSA on the Prize Patrol golf cart! They will be taking students to or from class. During your ride, you have the chance to answer Homecoming and FAU trivia to win spirit items!
Davie Homecoming Spirit Day Down Town 12:00 p.m. College Plaza, Davie Campus Join in on the Homecoming spirit at the Davie campus with Homecoming giveaways!
The Show-Off Show 7:00 p.m. AD119, Jupiter Campus Program Board presents The Show-Off Show, an interactive performance of tricks, stunts, and comedy. You're sure to have a blast and can even take home some tips and tricks to show off yourself!
Timucua Pageant 8:00 p.m. Live Oak Pavilion, Boca Raton Campus The Timucua Pageant is one of FAU's longest running annual traditions sponsored by Housing and Residential Life. Don't miss our 14th Annual event to see who earns the coveted title of Mr and Ms Timucua 2013. Contestants will compete in several categories including formal wear, talent, school spirit, interview, and other themed events. The winning contestants will also get VIP seats to the Homecoming Comedy Show; ride in the Timucua spirit car in the Homecoming Parade; receive a Housing Scholarship; and be featured in future Housing publications/brochures. Talon Awards Ceremony 6:30 p.m. Marleen & Harold Forkas Alumni Center, Boca Raton Campus FAU celebrates its 17th Annual Talon Awards Ceremony during Homecoming 2013. Since 1997, the Talon Award Ceremony has recognized outstanding leaders from the community, alumni, faculty and student body. Co-sponsored by the Office of Alumni Affairs and Student Government, this year's ceremony will recognize four outstanding individuals, including an FAU student!
Homecoming Concert 9:00 p.m. Outdoor Stage, Student Union, Boca Raton Campus We continue the Homecoming Week celebration with the Homecoming Concert! Homecoming Parade 12:00 p.m. Boca Raton Campus 2013 celebrates the 7th Annual FAU Homecoming Parade. Every year, this parade gets bigger and better! We anticipate over 60 entries in this year’s parade including student organization floats, decorated golf carts, specialty cars and motorcycles, walking units, as well as several marching bands. This is truly a community event on FAU’s Boca Raton campus and we are excited to host FAU students, alumni, faculty, staff and the Boca Raton community, as well as their families, at this traditional parade.
