The Osher LLI Presents Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Florida Atlantic University in Jupiter will show a pre-recorded National Theatre Live presentation of Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 1:30 p.m. in the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute complex at FAU’s John D. MacArthur Campus, 5353 Parkside Dr., in Jupiter.

Hedda Gabler is a play written by Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen. Tony Award-winning director Ivo van Hove returns to National Theatre Live screens with a modern production of Ibsen’s masterpiece. Jürgen and Hedda Tesman have just returned from their honeymoon and the relationship is already in trouble. Trapped but determined, Hedda tries to control those around her, only to see her own world unravel. Ruth Wilson plays the title role.

National Theatre Live is the National Theatre’s groundbreaking project to broadcast world-class theater to cinemas in the United Kingdom and internationally. Launched in 2009 with a broadcast of the National Theatre production of “Phédre” with Helen Mirren, more than 40 other productions have been presented live from both the National Theatre and from other theaters in the UK.
