Florida Atlantic University’s Department of Theatre and Dance in the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters presents “Omnium Gatherum” from Friday, Sept. 30 through Sunday, Oct. 9. The play will take place in Studio One Theatre, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus. Tickets are $20.
Finalist for the 2004 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, “Omnium Gatherum” is a delicious gathering of people, opinions, food and frenzy all swirling over the global implications of 9/11. This dramatic tour-de-force, which the New York Times called “a feisty feast of wicked wit” and “piping hot satire that sings and stings,” is a hilarious, disturbing, and challenging look at one of the most horrific days in American history. A New York dinner party goes awry when the guests of various backgrounds confront one another over the true causes of 9/11.
“Omnium Gatherum” was written by Theresa Rebeck and Alexandra Gersten-Vassilaros. The production at FAU is directed by Bruce Linser.
