Research Symposia

FAU Jupiter offers opportunities for students engaged in research and scholarly activity to present their findings either through poster/visual arts presentation or an oral/performing arts presentation.

FAU SYNAPSE

SYNAPSE is an annual neuroscience networking event for students and research scientists in collaboration with Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience and Scripps Florida Research Institute. The SYNAPSE event is focused on the trainees and is designed to exhibit their work and enhance the connectivity across the campus. Students and postdocs are the workhorses and tech-transfer engines of the research endeavor, and this event is intended to create new synapses and strengthen old ones among our many members. Many of these posters and recent publications have authors from multiple institutions demonstrating the collective effort of the group.

FAU Integrative Biology Retreat

The annual Integrative Biology Retreat brings all the graduate students in the Integrative Biology (IB) PhD program together as well as recruit’s new students. The event is intended to inform current and prospective students about the ongoing research projects in the FAU Charles E. Schmidt College of Science and College of Medicine and provide graduate students the opportunity to participate in an atmosphere much like that of a national meeting. Each year, the IB Retreat highlights the on-going research projects and invites outside speakers and alums to inspire, motivate and educate a broad audience of students. This annual event is hosted by the Association of Integrative Biology Students and the Association of Biological and Biomedical Students. Read about last year’s retreat.
