Retention and Transfers

The retention and transfers dashboard reviews retention and progress rates, discontinuing students, and transfer institutions in three separate sections. The first section reviews the retention and progress rates for a cohort by class level. The second section reviews discontinuing student types (drop out, stop out, and transfers) according to cohort year. The third section reviews transfer institutions by the number of student transfers.

Financial Aid Retention

The financial aid retention dashboard reviews the correlation between financial aid and retention. The purpose of this dashboard is to identify at risk student based on financial aid. Four types of financial aid are reviewed in individual sections: grants, loans, scholarships and work study.

The academic interventions dashboard reviews the influence of student services on retention rates. The following student services are reviewed: SLS class, tutoring, undergraduate research, leadership programs, major knOWLedge, the ACCESS program, writing center, and math lab. The goal of this dashboard is to identify at-risk students participating or enrolled in a student service who have low retention or academic progress rates.

Living-Learning

The living-learning dashboard reviews retention rates of students according to residence halls and learning communities. Retention rates are reviewed at an overall level as well as with emphasis on discontinuing students (drop out, stop out, and transfers).
