The Florida Atlantic University Program Board and the Student Alumni Association are gearing up for the eighth annual Fall Bonfire and concert, scheduled to take place on Thursday, Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. The school-spirit fueled event allows students, as well as the community at large to connect and get excited about FAU’s football game against the University of Miami the next day, Friday, Sept. 11. The event will feature a short speech from FAU Head Football Coach Charlie Partridge with appearances from other FAU Athletics programs. In keeping with the event’s reputation as the biggest bonfire in South Florida, 1,500 wooden pallets will be set ablaze.

As the embers of the Bonfire burn out, the concert will begin at the Student Union outdoor stage. Doors to the concert will open at 9 p.m. Featured performers are the popular rock-rap group Hollywood Undead, with local up-and-coming band ARTIKaL Sound System as the opening act. The Bonfire event is free of charge for all to attend while the concert requires tickets for the general public at $10; FAU students are admitted FREE with their Owl Card. Tickets are available thru Ticketmaster. A sellout crowd is anticipated.
