Grading Brain Health on a Curve
Walking. We don't think much about it. It just gets us from point A to point B. But now, an NSF-invested team of engineers at the Florida Atlantic University College of Engineering and Computer Science has developed a way to glean important clues about our brain's health from how we walk. The research specifically targets older individuals and the early detection of mild cognitive impairment, or MCI, that sometimes can lead to Alzheimer's.
