Stingray Cure

This research implemented preserved stingray specimen scans to create a digital file that could be used to print a model replica using a resin 3D printer. A two-part curing process of the stingray model included: cleaning the model's outer surface with isopropyl alcohol, then heating the material for a strong material finish. This figure shows the stingray model in the final part of the curing process in the heating machine. This model would be tested to determine the hydrodynamic properties of the stingray body in the water column.
