Update: Re-engaging in Research

During these unprecedented times, the Division of Research is here to support university faculty in their pursuit to answer novel research questions, creative endeavors and scholarly work.
As conditions evolve, the division continues to monitor the situation and make recommendations accordingly while following the university’s Covid-19 Fall 2020 Re-Opening Plan approved by the Board of Governors.
Research activity can resume if conditions outlined in the Fall 2020 Re-Opening Plan and the Health and Safety plan are met. In-person human subjects research and research in the field including diving and boating activities will require additional justification and approval.
Please email the Office of the Vice President for Research at fau.research@fau.edu. Requests will be directed to the appropriate oversight unit for further consideration.
Please refer to the Research FAQs, Fall 2020 Re-Opening Plan, the Health and Safety Plan and the Guidance on Enforcement of FAU’s COVID-19 Safety Plan document, which is meant to provide a framework of enforcement mechanisms for students, faculty and staff.
