4. Project Narrative: (Must be tied into what educational benefits will be received by the students, faculty; what goals are going to be achieved etc.)
  The Libraries do not currently offer Apple computers to the public. The purchase of 4 Macbooks and 2 iMacs will meet the needs of students and faculty who would benefit from Mac studio art/graphic design capabilities regarding their courses and projects. Also, the Mac user population is currently underserved in the Libraries and this purchase would help to rectify that situation.
5. How is this project aligned with the Strategic Plan? Please site specific goals and strategies.
  This project supports Goal 1, increased access, objective 1, assuring student achievement in baccalaureate programs, and Goal 2, meeting statewide professional and workforce needs, preparing students to transition competitively into the workforce.

  a) Any hardware requirements (which should comply with standards established by the IRM Standards)

  The Libraries' systems staff will maintain the equipment, and the Libraries will replace the equipment if possible when it becomes unusable.
