No, registering for the whole weekend is the only option available.
We will provide a schedule of events occurring around campus that parents can attend (many of them free of charge). This option won’t be as robust as the registered guests’ option. In addition, you will have to purchase your football tickets directly from athletics at 1-866-FAU-OWLS. Cost will vary depending on ticket purchased. Parking on campus should be coordinated with the Parking and Transportation Office.
You can find an electronic schedule of events here(PDF). This document gets updated regularly so check back frequently for updates. You can also locate the schedule of events on the Owl Guides application, which can be downloaded in the App Store or Google Play store.
No, please feel free to pick and choose the events that you wish to attend with or without your student. This weekend is yours to spend with your student and enjoy at Florida Atlantic University!
Your parking permit will be emailed (PDF file) to you the week on Oct. 1st. Please print out the permit and display it on your dashboard. We will also have extra permits available at the Check-In desk should you forget to bring it with you. Your Game Day Parking Pass will be provided at Check-In.
Yes, if you are unable to attend check-in for the weekend, your student can pick up your package in the Student Union Lobby during check-in hours.
FAU students receive free admission to the football games to sit in the designated student section. If you are interested in sitting with your student at the game, when you are registering for the weekend there is an option to purchase a separate student football ticket. No, you won’t be required to register a baby. Children under the age of 3 do not need to be registered.
Parents and Families whose students are on the Jupiter campus will still register for Parent and Family Weekend. Each campus (Jupiter and Boca) will have events for registered guests on Friday evening. Saturday’s events will take place on the Boca Raton Campus (therefore you must travel to the Boca Raton Campus). Sunday’s events will take place on each campus (Jupiter and Boca).
Families are encouraged to arrive Friday morning so they can get settled, spend some time with their student and enjoy events planned for Friday. Events are scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, so plan to stay for the entire weekend, if you can!
Parent and Family Weekend check-in will be available on Saturday for your convenience.
All Parent and Family Weekend purchases are non-refundable as the programmatic events that are planned are based off of the number of reservations made.
