Participation in the orientation program is a requirement for all incoming students. For newly admitted transfer students, Transfer Orientation is a required one-day program, which includes academic advising and course registration.
The Office of New Student Orientation is excited for you to attend your Transfer Orientation session. It's an exciting time to join the Owl Family, and the orientation program is designed to help you make this transition from your previous institution to FAU.
Select your campus (Boca Raton, Davie, or Jupiter) to find the check-in time. After you have reserved your spot, read through your confirmation email at your FAU email account for more check-in details. Be sure to accomplish all your checklist items & online pre-orientation before attending orientation.
Throughout your orientation program, you will interact with several university departments and resources, along with a chance to meet your fellow transfer students. Here are a few topics you'll cover during your orientation:
The orientation program ends with academic advising, which is scheduled until 5 p.m.* Depending on your transcripts, degree program, and questions for your advisor, you may finish your session earlier. Please plan for a full day at your Transfer Orientation session.
*If your orientation is scheduled to start at 12:15pm, advising may go as late as 8pm.
