OIT's Partner Campuses Technology Services group is formed by more than 20 professional full-time (and part-time) employees, who are organized in two separate units: Broward Technology Services (BTS), and Northern Technology Services (NTS).
As part of Florida Atlantic University’s Office of Information Technology (OIT) Division, these units provide a local source of technology services and accountability for the University's clients in its partner campuses of Fort Lauderdale, Davie, Dania Beach, and Jupiter, while remaining fully compliant and compatible with FAU's technology policies and standards.
OIT's Partner Campuses Technology Services group is headed by Dr. Alberto Fernández, Director of OIT Partner Campuses Technology Services, who reports to the University's Associate Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Mr. Jason Ball.
In alignment with the general mission of the Office of Information Technology division, the mission of OIT's Partner Campuses Technology Services (Broward Technology Services & Northern Technology Services) is to provide the strategic leadership, planning, and daily technical operations support to fulfill the needs of the Broward campuses ( Davie, Fort Lauderdale, and Dania Beach ) and of the Jupiter campus of Florida Atlantic University.
OIT's Partner Campuses Technology Services team is comprised of dedicated information technology professionals who strive to be leaders in the understanding and implementation of new technologies, and to demonstrate and advise on new methods, trends and equipment. OIT's Partner Campuses Technology Services team works cooperatively with other OIT groups to develop creative strategies for new uses of technology across all FAU campuses.
Our primary goal is to help our campuses to implement new technologies while maximizing budget resources. As such, we work collaboratively with the FAU's campuses community to facilitate the academic mission of the University. Broward Technology Services and Northern Technology Services plays a pivotal role in helping Florida Atlantic University to advance its institutional goals by providing the highest level of customer satisfaction, as well as a comprehensive, responsive and reliable technology services and support to our FAU faculty, staff and students.
