Biography
Mary C. Labanowski MD FACP is an Associate Professor of Integrated Medical Science. She teaches clinical skills to first and second year students in the Foundation of Medicine course. She primarily works with students and patients at The Caridad Clinic, providing care to an underserved population while teaching students clinical exam and clinical reasoning skills in this challenging setting. Dr. Labanowski has been involved in the clinical practice of primary care Internal Medicine and the teaching of medical students and residents for 30 years. She was previously Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She has served as staff physician at the Cleveland Clinic in West Palm Beach and as supervising physician to Internal Medicine residents on the inpatient service at the Cleveland Clinic Florida. Dr. Labanowski has a background of over a decade of leadership in physician organizations, culminating in service as the President of the Board of RIPA, the Rochester Individual Practice Association. Dr. Labanowski has been involved in community education, giving talks on such topics as End of LIfe Care, Osteoporosis and Adult Immunizations.
