WeLead: Diversity Matters Student Leadership Symposium Saturday, January 27, 2018


The WeLead: Diversity Matters Student Leadership Symposium one-day experience that aims to broaden participants’ cultural fluency while also promoting informed and effective social justice advocacy. WeLead is open and free to all FAU students and includes keynote speakers, several break-out sessions and opportunities to interact with peers, faculty, and staff.

WeLead will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 on the Boca Raton campus.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. and closes at 8:55 a.m. 

Opening Session begins at 9 a.m. 

The day will conclude at 3 p.m.

2018 Keynote Speakers

Rosa Clemente is the president and founder of Know Thy Self Productions. She is one of the most raw, honest, political, social, and cultural voices in the country. She has spent her life dedicated to scholar activism.

Dr. Michael Benitez serves as the Dean of Diversity and Inclusion and is the Chief Diversity Officer and Title IX Officer at the University of Puget Sound. He is a national leading activisit-scholar practioner and educato with extensive experience and diversity issues.

2017 Keynote Speakers

James T. Robilotta is an author, professional speaker, personal coach and entrepeneur. He worked on college campuses for over 10 years, developing student leaders and higher education professionals before going full-time with his speaking and coaching career.

Justin Jones-Fosu is an internatinal speaker, young-award winning entrepeneur and author. He is the President/Chief Inspirational Officer of Justin Inspires International, LLC.
