Canvas Notifications

With all of your classes online, professors may use various methods to communicate with you. It is important to make sure your Canvas notification settings are properly configured. You can receive notifications by email, text message, or Canvas Student app push notifications, or a combination of all three. Be sure to add any additional contact methods to ensure you are getting your messages where you want them and set the notifications for "Conversations" and "Announcements" to get notified right away.

Sign up for FAU Alerts

In the case of an actual emergency, it is imperative that everyone at FAU stay informed as much as possible. FAU Alerts are the quickest way to receive up-to-the-moment information on any emergency situations effecting the FAU community. Visit the Sign up for FAU Alerts site to learn how to sign up for and manage FAU alerts along with FAQs.

Check your MYFAU email frequently.

Your "@fau.edu" email address is shown to professors when they view your profile in Canvas. It is the simplest way to contact you. View our Owl Mail help site for more information and instructions on how to access, setup and use your MYFAU email.

Setting up PUSH notifications on the FAU Mobile App
