What information will I be asked to provide on the application?

You will be asked to provide personal information such as name, address, phone number, etc. You will also be asked to provide information about your education and previous employment, as well as contact information regarding your employment history and references. Please gather this information before beginning the application.

I missed the application deadline/The posting’s closing date has passed. Can I still apply to the position?

Once the application deadline or closing date has passed, no applications will be accepted unless the position is reopened. Please continue to visit FAU’s career site to review and apply for jobs as they become available.

Is an employment application required?

Yes. A complete online application is required in order to be considered for employment at FAU. A resume or curriculum vitae cannot be substituted for a complete application. If you are applying to a specific position, all required application materials must be received by Human Resources by before the posting closes.

How are interviews scheduled and hiring determinations made?

Once employment applications are received in Human Resources and reviewed to ensure completion and to confirm each applicant meets minimum requirements, they are forwarded to the hiring authority. The hiring authority will screen applications to determine who will be contacted for an interview. After interviews and reference checks are completed, the hiring authority will identify the chosen candidate and notify HR.

What is the cutoff time to submit an application?

Applications must be submitted by 11:59. (EST) on the posting close date.
