She must learn current program software used in law offices such as Lotus or Practice Master. the interns are expected to assist with patent filing, patent searches and patent proofreading. Data entry and deposition preparation is a possibility and can occur in trademarks or patents. Interns will be responsible for initial client correspondence such drafting engagement letters or editing emails explaining the patent filing process. While much of the work is clerical, there will be opportunities to handle new phases of patents be a sounding-board for the attorneys etc.
