Owl Family Weekend is September 20-22, 2019.
Yes, registration is required in order to attend the weekend events. Registering allows FAU to plan for your arrival to ensure the best weekend possible, as well as provide you with necessary items such as a parking permit.
Registration will launch on June 4, 2019, at 8:00 a.m. You are able to register for Owl Family Weekend by visiting the Office of Family Engagement website.
Registration for Owl Family Weekend is only available online. We do not offer on-site registration. 
Yes, you have the option to purchase a Saturday One Day pass. 
The cost for Owl Family Weekend is $75 per student and $110 per guest for the 3- Day package.
Included in your 3-day pass is:
Day #1
Friday, September 20, 2019. Family Kick-Off  (Student Union, 6 to 8 p.m.).

Day #2
Saturday, September 21, 2019.  Family Tailgate (Campus Recreation Pool,3-5:30 p.m.) FAU vs Wagner football game, 6 p.m.

Day #3
Sunday, September 22, 2019. Housing Brunch and Housing tours (Innovation Village Apartments South, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.). 
Yes, everyone is welcome to attend Owl Family Weekend! Owl Family Weekend is for the entire family. Many families bring siblings of all ages, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. Please keep in mind that all family members must be registered in order to participate in the scheduled events.
One family is able to purchase up to five guest tickets and 1 student ticket. If you need to purchase more than 5 guest tickets, please call out office at 1-561-297-2733. We can accommodate families of any size.
Yes, there is a one day Saturday option available. If you select this option, you will not have access to the entire weekend.   
We will provide a schedule of events occurring around campus and the local community that families can attend (many of them free of charge). This option won’t be as robust as the registered families option. In addition, you will have to purchase your football tickets directly from athletics at 1-866-FAU-OWLS. Cost will vary depending on ticket purchased. Parking on campus should be coordinated with the Parking and Transportation Office.
The website provides updated information regularly, so check back frequently for updates. You can also locate the schedule of events on the Owl Guides application, which can be downloaded in the App Store or Google Play store.
No, please feel free to pick and choose the events that you wish to attend with or without your student. This weekend is yours to spend with your student and enjoy at Florida Atlantic University!
Your parking permit is your license plate. You will receive an email upon registration completion to the email you registered with. You will add your license plate information and receive a virtual parking permit. We will also be available on-site Friday at Check-In to take any parking information there as well. Your Game Day Parking Pass will be provided at Check-In.
Yes, if you are unable to attend check-in for the weekend, your student can pick up your package in the Student Union Lobby during check-in hours Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday, 12-5 p.m.
FAU students receive free admission to the football games to sit in the designated student section. If you are interested in sitting with your student at the game you may choose the option to add an additional ticket at a discounted rate when you are registering for the weekend.  This is a $10 additional charge that will allow your student to sit with your family in the Owl Family Weekend section.
No, you won’t be required to register a baby. Children under the age of 2 do not need to be registered.
Families whose students are on the Jupiter or Davie campuses can still register for Owl Family Weekend. On Friday, each campus will have its own signature events requiring no registration. All Saturday’s events will take place on the Boca Raton Campus (therefore you must travel to the Boca Raton Campus). There are no scheduled events on Jupiter or Davie campuses. 
Families are encouraged to arrive Friday morning so they can get settled, spend some time with their student and enjoy events planned for Friday. Events are scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, so plan to stay for the entire weekend, if you can!
Owl Weekend check-in will be available on Saturday for your convenience.
All Owl Family Weekend purchases are non-refundable as the programmatic events that are planned are based on the number of reservations made.
