Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Students Online Training

In a collaborative effort with the Owls Care Health Promotions deparment, the Center for IDEAs is excited about this new online training for all students. Completing the "Diversity, Equity, and Belonging for Students" by EverFi is a significant step in helping Florida Atlantic University welcome diversity, address ongoing societal problems and uphold the university’s commitment to equity and inclusion. As one of the most culturally diverse universities in the country, Diversity, Equity, and Belonging for Students is an integral part of our university’s effort to continue to provide varied educational, leadership and engagement opportunities that successfully support all students. In doing so, members of the FAU community can learn and discuss issues related to diversity, inclusion and equity in a respectful teaching and learning environment.

As you take this course, keep in mind that our campus is a community that cares and looks out for each other, regardless of background or experiences. The course materials will provide education, resources, and policies that not only assist you during your time at FAU, but in your graduate and professional life afterward. We hope this course encourages you to think about important issues such as social justice, identity, power, privilege and oppression. We look forward to continuing to do our part in moving the needle of racial equity forward. For more information or questions, go to the resources tab of the program or contact FAU’s Center for IDEAs at ideas@fau.edu.

The online training is currently on hold and will be made available in the near future. Please look out for more information at a later time to learn how you can participate in the online training.
