Julie Golden Botti, Ed.DAssistant Provost of Online and Continuing Education
Office of the ProvostDr. Julie Golden Botti serves as Executive Director of the award-winning Center for Online and Continuing Education in the Office of the Provost at Florida Atlantic University. Recipient of the 2020 Online Learning Consortium’s Gomory-Mayadas Leadership Award in Online Education, Dr. Golden Botti oversees the university’s efforts to create and enhance online courses and programs, lifelong learning offerings, and continuing education programs. Additionally, she supports faculty professional development to promote the integration of Quality Matters standards and State of Florida standards for high-quality online course design and delivery.
Dr. Golden Botti is responsible for growing FAU’s online and continuing education enrollments by increasing for-credit and not-for-credit offerings that cater to a variety of stakeholders including traditional students in online programs, professional development CEUs, certifications and certificates for career changers and career enhancement, personal enrichment courses, and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institutes in Jupiter, Boca Raton, and Fort Lauderdale.
Dr. Golden Botti serves on the Florida Board of Governor’s Innovation and Online Committee and the Florida Online Quality Committee, and co-chairs the Florida Chancellor’s Quality Award Committee for online faculty. She holds a Doctor of Education, Organizational Leadership from Northeastern University in Boston, and a Master of Arts in Career and Technical Education from the University of Central Florida.

Jill RosenBusiness Manager
Jill Rosen joined the eLearning team in January, 2013 as the Budget Manager. She holds a Master Degree in Public Administration from Florida Atlantic University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Delaware.
Jill coordinates all of the financial transactions for the Center for eLearning including close collaboration with each College to assure smooth and timely transfers of faculty funding.

Marcelle GornitskyContinuing Education Project Manager
Marcelle Gornitsky rejoined the Center for Online and Continuing Education in April 2022 as Continuing Education Project Manager. She originally joined COCE as an Instructional Designer in July 2014, serving two years in that role. Subsequently, she served as Educational Technology Coordinator at the Schmidt College of Medicine at FAU.
Marcelle brings to her current role over 10 years of instructional design and project management experience. As Continuing Education Project Manager, she manages the process for establishing and implementing continuing education offerings, while also providing instructional design advice and services.
Marcelle holds a Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology and Distance Education from Nova Southeastern University.

Natalie M ManoogianAssistant Director, Educational/Training Programs
Natalie M. Manoogian joined the Center for Online and Continuing Education in 2019 serves as Assistant Director, Educational/Training Programs. In this capacity, Ms. Manoogian is the point of contact for Continuing Education memoranda of understanding and agreements, policies and procedures, operational functions, such as staff recruitment and onboarding, as well as other similar functions and responsibilities.
Ms. Manoogian’s career at the University began in 2016 as the Manager of Employee Relations and Development in the Department of Human Resources. Ms. Manoogian was subsequently promoted later in 2016 to Assistant Director, Human Resources, and Deputy Title IX Coordinator (HR).
Ms. Manoogian received her Juris Doctor (JD), Master of Public Administration (MPA), and Graduate Certificate in Health Care Policy and Administration from The University of Toledo. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, Psychology, and Sociology with a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) minor and Prelaw option from Ohio Northern University.
Prior to joining FAU, Ms. Manoogian worked in the field of Human Resources, specifically Employee and Labor Relations, at the municipal and corporate levels. While furthering her education, Ms. Manoogian clerked for the Honorable Vernelis K. Armstrong at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, and the Honorable Arlene Singer at the Ohio Sixth District Court of Appeals. Ms. Manoogian also interned with the U.S. Department of Justice, INTERPOL - U.S. National Central Bureau in Washington, DC.

Carlos LozanoProject Coordinator
Carlos Lozano joined the Center of Online and Continuing Education (COCE) in December 2019 as an Assistant Project Coordinator. He has a BS degree in Computer Science and enjoys helping stakeholders succeed through the integration of service and technology.
Carlos’ background includes IT and project management in the hospitality and services industry. At Marriott International, he oversaw projects at their high-end JW Marriott brand and with Guest-Tek Interactive Entertainment he took his project management work across Latin America and the Caribbean working on projects in over 15 countries – all leading to enhanced guest and customer satisfaction.

Smita Patel, M.A.EdProject Assistant
Smita Patel is a project assistant at the Center for Online and Continuing Education. Prior to joining FAU, Smita worked in the private industry, the British Civil Service and in the public education field where she gained extensive administrative experience. Her previous work experience includes working in a team to enhance opportunities for 1st generation students to succeed, coordinating tutor training, and analyzing survey data to better understand student needs.
Smita holds a B.A. (Hons) in Sociology and Social Policy and Administration from the University of Kent (England), and an M.A in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida. Smita loves going on nature walks, reading, and painting.
