FAU’s strategic plan platform “Community Engagement and Economic Development” seeks to address challenges and uncover solutions that promote community development and economic prosperity through partnerships. In alignment with this platform, our systematic assessment mechanisms focus on expanding the capacity of our nonprofit community and positively impacting the economic development of our region.
FAU aspires to work collaboratively with its local and regional communities to build partnerships and engage in initiatives that will serve the needs of the community as well as those of the institution. In order to better understand those needs, the university hosted the first round in a series of Community Conversations – a discussion with community representatives on local challenges and opportunities.
