The Externship and Shadow Experiential Learning (ExSEL) Program offers students a “First Look” into an organization, to see what a day in the life of a career looks like. This valuable experience can be anywhere from half a day to 1 week.
Not only is this a benefit to students because of the valuable insight they will receive, but it can also benefit your organization in the following ways:
The program takes place during FAU’s Winter Break, Spring Break, and Summer semester. As a host organization, you will be responsible for providing students an opportunity to shadow and interact with your organization in a way that helps them in finding out if the career they have in mind is right for them. You will also choose how long the experience will be and how many students you would like to host.
If you have an FAU student currently interning with you, please let us know by emailing email@example.com. We can reach out to your student with important information about receiving credit for their internship.
If you've had FAU interns recently, we would love to know as well. Please report these hires to us.
FAU students have the opportunity to receive credit for their internships through the FAU Career Center's Professional Internship Course. We encourage you to share this information with your FAU interns and let us know who they are so that we can discuss their options in detail with them.More Information about Professional Internship Course
