FAU Psychology Researchers Release Study on the Attribute of Popular and Well-Liked Children

children having fun What’s the three letter word that describes an attribute that most popular, well-liked and successful children have? Yup, you guessed it – fun.

Those are the conclusions of lead author Dr. Brett Laursen , a long-time FAU Davie faculty member in the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science, Department of Psychology , along with fellow FAU psychology professors Robert L. Atman, Li Wei and Concordia University’s Dr. William M. Bukowski.

Their exhaustive research study on why fun children are popular, well-liked and successful was recently published in the March 2020 issue of the Journal of Personality.
