During her tenure on the State Board of Education, Mrs. Feingold helped set policy implementing pre- and post-testing for the VPK statewide pre-kindergarten program. She was also instrumental in bringing back civics learning at the middle and high school levels. While serving on the Foundation Board of B’nai Torah Congregation, she and her husband dedicated a Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) and Computer Coding Learning Center for the B’nai Torah Preschool.

Mrs. Feingold is a deeply committed philanthropist and fundraiser. Her passion for the wellbeing and education of Florida's children is exemplified through her volunteerism, philanthropy, and fundraising efforts. After providing a significant gift to Florida Atlantic University in 2014 for the enhancement of the administrative building, the Board of Trustees honored Mrs. Feingold and her husband by naming the school’s new world-class meeting facility the Dr. Jeffrey P. & Barbara S. Feingold Board Room. In 2014, the Feingolds also made a transformational gift toward the construction of the new Center for Oral Health Care & Research on the campus of the University of Texas San Antonio. The Center features the Dr. Jeffrey P. and Barbara S. Feingold Atrium, welcoming all to better oral and whole body health.

With over 35 years of dedicated service to a wide variety of Florida non-profit organizations and Jewish community organizations, Mrs. Feingold has raised millions of dollars annually for those in need with an emphasis on children and seniors. She is a past president of The Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center in Miami and former board member of The Greater Miami Jewish Federation, where she was honored with The Stanley Myers Presidents Leadership Award and was a past member of the National Young Women’s Leadership Cabinet of the UJA. Mrs. Feingold has also served as Vice President of Leadership Development of the Levis Jewish Community Center in Boca Raton, a board member of the South Palm Beach County Jewish Federation where she was Lion of Judah Chair and King David Society Chair, and a board member of the Ruth Rales Jewish Family Service.

In recent years, Mrs. Feingold and her husband have made several significant gifts focused on supporting the safety and security of the Jewish State of Israel. Through their close association with the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF), they made many donations to the Impact Scholar Program to help improve the quality of life and opportunities for former IDF soldiers. In 2018, they gave a gift that funded the construction of the Dr. Jeffrey and Barbara Feingold Family Synagogue on the Mishmar Hanegev Army Base in The Negev, Israel, and provided a Sefer Torah for use by the soldiers of the Amirim Battalion stationed there. Most recently, in March 2020 they generously adopted the Eshet Tank Battalion to create a better everyday life for the soldiers of the IDF.

Mrs. Feingold served as Senior Vice President and Director of MCNA Health Care Holdings LLC, one of the largest providers of Medicaid, CHIP, and commercial dental insurance in the United States, with headquarters in Fort Lauderdale. She was also a member of the Board of Directors of MCNA Dental Insurance Company based in San Antonio, Texas. Mrs. Feingold was also Co-Founder of The Dentaland Organization, a group of comprehensive dental health care facilities throughout Florida that has been offering multi-specialty dental care with a general dental component and significant emphasis on pediatric dental care since the 1970s. She served as Vice President of the organization and in various executive capacities, overseeing its expansion and growth into an innovative leader in quality patient care in South Florida and beyond.

Mrs. Feingold lives in Delray Beach. Her late husband, Dr. Jeffrey Feingold, also served on the Florida Atlantic University Board of Trustees from 2010 - 2021. She enjoys spending time with their three grown children and seven grandchildren who all live in South Florida.
