Gender and Equity Certificate

The certificate program draws on the latest research in the interdisciplinary fields of women’s studies, gender studies, LGBTQ studies, and sexuality studies in order to provide accessible and thoughtful exploration of the following areas:
-Introduction to Equity
-Feminist history and theory
-LGBTQ history and theory
-Intersectionality and global issues
-Gender and the environment

The Certificate is structured in 10 units, each of which involves approximately 1.5 hours of engaged learning through video lectures, short readings, learning activities, and formative assessments. Each unit is lead by a different subject matter expert, including world-renowned faculty from Florida Atlantic University’s Center for Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Assignments, quizzes, and other Certificate requirements are monitored and assessed by trained graduate students working under the supervision of the Center’s Director.
The Certificate’s price point is competitive at $199 per participant, with bulk pricing available for groups of 10 or more. An abbreviated version of the Certificate can also be made available by special arrangement with employers who want to target specific subfields for their staff.
