This extraordinarily beautiful and intimate musical which the New York Times called "soul satisfying" celebrates the generosity of the human spirit. When Percy, a feisty parolee, arrives in the small town of Gilead, she gets a job at the Spitfire Grill, meets the local residents, and charms them all so thoroughly that she revitalizes the town's soul and restores hope to its people. The "Spitfire Grill" has what critics have hailed as "instantly infectious melodies" with music that is "freeing" and that "glows."
