Season in Rome

Dr. Anna Camaiti Hostert, Distinguished Visiting Professor of Comparative Studies Program and Philosophy Department

FAU is launching a unique new Fall Semester study opportunity designed to meet the needs of FAU students in the Comparative Studies PhD Program, as well as students in other graduate programs at FAU (e.g. humanities, European Studies, Peace Studies, Film Studies).   A small cadre of 7 to 10 students will be accepted for the inaugural semester in Rome, which will run from August 30 to November 28, 2008.

Students will study under the direction of Professor Anna Camaiti Hostert, Visiting Professor of Comparative Studies and Philosophy at FAU, at the Centro Studi Americani, located in the Palazzo Antici Mattei.  The Palazzo is a prestigious example of 17th century architecture and is located in the heart of old Rome, just off the Largo Argentina.  The small program size will create a tutorial atmosphere and aid students’ full immersion into Italian culture. Dr Camaiti Hostert will give a presentation of the program. A representative from the office of International Programs will be present.

Mondays, 4:00 - 5:15 p.m.
