PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

March 2004 - Present: Database Administrator, Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, FL.
Oracle DBA responsible for maintaining Oracle development, staging, and production databases on Sun Solaris Unix systems and provide support for MS SQL systems. My daily tasks include system monitoring, application upgrades, system patches and hotfix changes, performance metrics, performance tuning, schema management, and backup/recovery.
Maintain the Blackboard Academic Suite, WebFOCUS, and fsaATLAS (web-based foreign student case management tool).

July 2000 - March 2004: University Webmaster, Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, FL.
Coordinate Web site development, Database Programming and Web Interfaces, Search Engines, Technical Design,
Server Accounts (New Requests, Password Changes, Terminations). Deployed Real-Time Internet Webcasts.

Coordinate, design and develop client/server database applications and Web enabled solutions.

Designed and developed several Access database applications to automate workflow processes. Coordinated Y2K modifications to university mainframe programs such as salary, student data course files, and faculty appointments.

September 1997 - January 1998: Computer Lab Manager, Florida Atlantic University, Davie, FL.
Managed sixteen people on two campuses and coordinated the implementation of video teleconferencing systems.

July 1996 - August 1997: Computer Audit Analyst, Office of the Comptroller, Tallahassee, FL.
Maintained SAMAS miscellaneous deduction accounts, reengineered an existing electronic Report Distribution System to eliminate paper reports, and developed an on-line tax reporting procedure for the Bureau of State Payrolls.

June 1990 - July 1996: Financial Examiner/Analyst, Office of the Comptroller, West Palm Beach, FL.
Designed and developed a database application to track investigative documents for case reports. Received a meritorious award and demonstrated the application at an annual broker/dealer conference in Ft. Lauderdale.
