About Workday

Workday will change the way FAU conducts business by automating, streamlining, and standardizing current business processes in human resources and financial management. Its cloud solution meets the University's 21st century operating requirements and mitigates the risks of system failure, security breaches, and regulatory violations.

Workday's unified administrative solution for HR, payroll, and finance is currently used by more than 200 clients including Brown, Broward College, University of Miami, Georgetown, Cornell, Carnegie Mellon, and USC. Compared with conventional Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions, Workday delivers more than 200 best practices to its clients and is the least costly to implement.

What does this mean for Florida Atlantic University?

By replacing its aging computer systems that are becoming more costly and increasingly difficult to support, Workday will enable FAU to improve the way it administers and delivers key human resource, benefit, and financial services to faculty and staff. Many paper-driven, labor-intensive business processes like the Personnel Action Form (PAF) will now be automated, making it easier and faster to submit and track changes. In addition, policies and processes will be built into the new system to ensure consistency and transparency.

What does this mean for you?

Workday will impact all members of the FAU community, enabling offices and individuals to better manage their personal information. With 24/7 access from any computer or mobile device with Internet capability, you will be able to update your address, request vacation time, change a beneficiary, and view compensation and benefit information. For those staff with financial responsibilities in their job description, you will be able to review account balances and approve reimbursements. FAU managers will also have easy access to staffing and organizational information.
