About Us

What We Do

The college experience is a time to learn a wealth of information, experiment and try new things, build friendships, search for career options and develop the necessary skills for a successful and fulfilling life. A bright future includes making responsible and healthy choices.

Owls Care Health Promotion provides support and resources to help FAU students care for themselves, their peers, and their university community. Owls Care Health Promotion is committed to providing high quality wellness services to students of all socioeconomic statuses, ages, races, ethnicities, national origins, physical abilities or attributes, religions, sexual orientations, and gender identities/expressions.

The office offers free presentations/workshops on a variety of health related topics and wellness services including free wellness supplies (like stress balls, condoms, tampons, etc) and our Body Project program. Additionally, ongoing campus programs are offered free of charge with a calendar of events available on our website. Owls Care is also home to the Women's Resource and Community Connections, more information can be found here.

Owls Care would not be able to do what we do without the help of our fantastic students. The Owls Care Leaders (OCLs) are student employees who promote Owls Care and provide presentations on topics including stress, consent, bystander intervention, and conflict resolution. They also run our Wellness Hoot and help facilitate our campus programming.

Stop by the office to see what we are all about! While you are here be sure to fill up a bag of free safer sex supplies, and grab some stress management goodies at the stress oasis. The Owls Care office is located in the Schmidt Family Complex for Academic and Athletic Excellence SF-107, Suite 158A and is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Women's Resource and Community Connection Office is located in the SS-8 Building on the 2nd floor and is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
