What is Upward Bound
The Upward Bound (UB) Program is a federally-funded TRiO program, which was established by the U.S. Department of Education in 1965. Florida Atlantic University has received continual funding for the Upward Bound Program for a number of years now. Upward Bound prepares underserved and/or first-generation college-bound students in grades nine through twelve for success in high school and enrollment in college. All services are provided at no cost to participants. The Upward Bound Program at FAU serves Dillard, Boyd H. Anderson, Coconut Creek, and Blanche Ely High Schools in Broward County.
