&lt;p&gt;This workshop, facilitated by certified writing consultants, teaches participants how to understand assignment prompts and compose effective thesis statements in response. Participants are welcome to bring their current assignment prompts and writing drafts to receive feedback. The workshop will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2010 in SO 105. (Enter through SO 107).&amp;nbsp; We invite all writers to come join us and improve their writing skills!&lt;/p&gt;&#13;

&lt;h3&gt;BodyBuilding: How to Outline Ideas and Organize Body Paragraphs&lt;/h3&gt;&#13;

&lt;p&gt;This workshop, facilitated by certified writing consultants, leads participants through the process of organizing ideas and structuring paragraphs.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Participants are welcome to bring their current assignment prompts and writing drafts to receive feedback.&amp;nbsp; The workshop will be held Wednesday, Feb. 24, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in SO 385 on the Boca Raton campus. We invite all writers to come join us and improve their writing skills!&lt;/p&gt;&#13;

&lt;h3&gt;Citation Systems: The Rules and Reasons of APA and MLA&lt;/h3&gt;&#13;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&lt;p&gt;This workshop, facilitated by certified writing consultants, teaches participants the differences between the MLA and APA formatting systems.&amp;nbsp; Participants will learn the rules of each system for correctly formatting a paper and citing works. This workshop is open to all levels of writers.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Participants are welcome to bring current drafts for feedback.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&#13;

&lt;h3&gt;It&amp;rsquo;s All in the Details: Verb Tenses, Article Usage, and Commas&lt;/h3&gt;&#13;

&lt;p&gt;This workshop, facilitated by certified writing consultants, focuses on sentence-level writing concerns. The target audience is ESL writers. Participants will learn how to conjugate verb tenses in given contexts and will learn to write with consistency in tense.&amp;nbsp; Participants will also learn the rules for comma and article usage.&amp;nbsp; Participants are welcome to bring drafts in progress and their own questions to receive feedback. &lt;/p&gt;&#13;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&lt;p&gt;The University Center for Excellence in Writing (UCEW) writing workshop series presents &amp;ldquo;Get Creative!: A Workshop for Creative Writers.&amp;rdquo; The workshop, facilitated by certified writing consultants, leads the group through reading and discussion of individual participants&amp;rsquo; drafts of fiction, poetry, and creative non-fiction.&amp;nbsp; Participants are required to bring a work in progress.&amp;nbsp; These workshops run in two-week rounds. The first workshop will be held Wednesday, March 3, 2010 4:00&amp;nbsp; - 5:00 pm in SO 300. We invite creative writers of all levels and ages to come join us!&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
