cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Information on heart

American Lung Association
The mission of the
American
Lung Association is to prevent lung disease and promote
lung health. Website includes latest news on smoking-related

Friends is a new grassroots movement to show support for

National Cancer Institute

Nicotine Anonymous
Nicotine Anonymous is a Non-Profit 12 Step
Fellowship of men and women helping each other live
nicotine-free lives. Nicotine Anonymous welcomes all those
seeking freedom from nicotine addiction, including those
using cessation programs and nicotine withdrawal aids. The
primary purpose of Nicotine Anonymous is to help all those
who would like to cease using tobacco and nicotine products
in any form. The Fellowship offers group support and recovery
using the 12 Steps as adapted from Alcoholics Anonymous to
achieve abstinence from nicotine.
Project SCUM
A
new web site presents a document showing
how a major tobacco company planned on boosting sales of its
cigarettes in the mid-90s by targeting a new consumer market:
gays and homeless people. They called it "Project Sub Culture
