The FAU Revised GMAT Classroom Course is designed to prepare students for the new computer adaptive version of the GMAT. Our course has been updated to include instruction and strategies for the GMAT's new Integrated Reasoning section as well. The course has been developed to provide an inclusive review of fundamental verbal and math skills in addition to test-taking strategies; the students will, also, be offered the necessary guidance and support for independent study. We offer the course in two formats: a weekday evening course that meets twice per week; and a weekend course that meets on Saturday mornings from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Included in each of the formats are two fully proctored diagnostic GMAT exams, held on Saturday mornings (once prior to the start of the course, and once at the end of the course). The Graduate Management Admission Test® (GMAT®) is a standardized exam that helps business schools assess the qualifications of applicants for advanced study in business and management. Schools use the test as one predictor of academic performance in an MBA or other graduate management program. The GMAT consists of four separately timed sections. The first section forms the Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA). The AWA section includes an Analysis of an Argument essay task. The second section is the Integrative Reasoning section, which measures the students' ability to read and interpret data from tables, charts, & graphs. The remaining two sections (Quantitative and Verbal) consist of multiple-choice questions delivered in a computer-adaptive format. The quantitative section contains 37 multiple-choice questions of two question types-data sufficiency and problem solving. The verbal section contains 41 multiple-choice questions of three question types-reading comprehension, critical reasoning and sentence correction.
