GENERAL INFORMATION

FAU undergraduate students may earn credits from CLEP examinations provided they have not received comparable college credits in the CLEP examination area or have not completed a more advanced course in which the accumulation of knowledge or skills in the examination is essential. For FAU course equivalents please check the FAU Undergraduate catalog for approved credits for FAU students prior to test registration. Course equivalent information can be under Academic Policies and Regulations then select Acceleration Mechanisms for Undergraduates.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE REGISTERING

You must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your testing time. 
Please be prompt.  No late arrivals will be admitted.   
Photo ID is required matching exactly the name in which you registered. 

Effective July 1, 2009 the CLEP fee will increase to $72.
This fee is due on the day of your scheduled exam.
The fee is payable by check, money order or credit card.
No cash accepted.

REGISTRATION

Register online for the BOCA RATON campus or the DAVIE campus.  Photo ID is required.  Bring the email receipt and a valid photo ID matching the name you used for registering.  Scores post in approximately 2-3 weeks.

* Please note: You can only register for one test at a time.  If you need more than one CLEP exam, you must register for different day/time slots.  Multiple tests can not be accommodated at the same time.

Military-Funded CLEP Exams

CLEP exams are free to eligible military personnel and eligible civilian employees. Military veterans can seek reimbursement from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for CLEP exams and fees. For more information, visit the CLEP for Veterans page.

PARKING

Boca Campus

If you do not have an FAU parking decal you must park in the visitor's parking lot. This is metered parking. For more information regarding visitor's parking visit the Traffic and Parking page.

Davie Campus

On the Davie Campus if you do not have a decal test takers can purchase a day pass for $2 from the Owl card center in SD 201. They need a cash or a check for the amount. They also need their tag number and year of the car. The center is open on Mon and Thurs 8:30-7, Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:30-4:30, Friday 8:30-3:30. They are closed everyday from 1-2 for lunch. ACCOMMODATIONS

The FAU Testing Center willingly provides special test accommodations for all candidates who qualify for non-standard test administrations.  FAU Students who believe they qualify for special accommodations should contact the FAU Office for Students with Disabilities for assistance with this process.
