Abacoa is a 2,050 acre community located in the Town of Jupiter, FL. The community has incorporated green features and the qualities of a traditional neighborhood development into its design, which makes it unique from many communities in South Florida.

Feel free to navigate throughout the map. Each “red” point contains information on a unique characteristic or destination within Abacoa. The side menu is also available for easier navigation.

As you browse around the map, you will observe how Abacoa contains elements that make it stand out as an exemplary community in which to live, work and play.

Upland Gopher Tortoise Preserve

  • Upon development, the creators of Abacoa worked to restore the entire Greenway back to the native habitat of the gopher tortoise, which includes the gopher tortoise preserve
  • 182 of the 260 acres of the Greenway is devoted to the native gopher tortoise preserve
  • The Preserve, along with the enforcement of the Gopher Tortoise Management Plan, ensures the protection of the endangered gopher tortoise’s habitat which includes an extensive underground tunnel system

The Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience adds a strong international component to Palm Beach County's life sciences cluster and to the general economic base
