Student Union Administration

Larry Faerman, Ph.D.
Director of Student Union

Background: Larry is the Director of Student Union effective July 1, 2011. He currently serves as the Director of Event Planning & Union Programs at the Boca Raton campus of FAU, a position he has held since August 2010. Larry has been at FAU since 1999, most recently in the position of Assistant Director of Housing for Residential Life

Larry is a proud alumnus of Florida Atlantic University graduating with his Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership in 2009. He is also an Associate Graduate Faculty with the department of Educational Leadership and Research Methodology within the College of Education. He involves himself in many campus committees and initiatives including Weeks of Welcome and Homecoming. Larry believes the Student Union is not just a facility, but the “living room” of FAU and is excited to be a piece of the home away from home for all who visit.

Lauren Adamo
Assistant Director of Student Union

Background: Lauren joined the Student Union staff in August 2011 as the Assistant Director. Her main responsibilities include the oversight of Event Planning and Operations as well as Union Programming. Lauren has been at FAU since 2007, most recently in the position of Coordinator for the department of Housing for Residential Life. Lauren is a proud alumnus of the University of Central Florida graduating with her Master degree in Higher Education Leadership in 2005. She is equally as proud to be currently enrolled in the doctoral program here at Florida Atlantic University furthering her studies in the field of Higher Education Leadership. Lauren is excited to have the opportunity to work with students and bring the STUDENT back into the Student Union, after all…this is “Where it All Begins”!

Keven Allen Jr.
Coordinator, Student Union

Responsibilities: Oversees the entire student staff which includes Set Crew, Customer Service Representative, and Operations Managers.

Background: Keven is an advocate for student development and leadership. With 5 years worth of experience in Student Union operations, Keven utilizes the avenue of student employment as a toll for leadership development. He is a proud graduate of Florida State University with a bachelor's degree and is currently enrolled in graduate studies in the field of Higher Education. 

Tony Moschetti
Supervisor, Custodial Services, Student Union

Responsibilities:  Supervision and management of all custodial operations for the Student Union, and oversight of specialized building maintenance and operations.

Background:  Tony has worked at FAU for over six years and is the custodial supervisor. FAU is the first university at which he has worked, and he truly enjoys the environment. He refers to his work environment as friendly and shows his joy each day that he is here. Toni is a team leader and an excellent coordinator.

Mark A. Anthony
Maintenance Supervisor, Student Union

Responsibilities:  Coordinate all Minor Projects submitted through Facilities and Planning.  Respond to all maintenance related work orders.

Background: Mark recently transferred to the student union after spending the last five years working as the maintenance superintendent for the FAU housing department.  Mark is an honorable discharged decorated veteran of the United States Navy.  He is truly enjoying his new role at the student union and he is looking forward to being a part of the dynamic growth and development of F.A.U.

Event Planning Office

 

David Blank
Coordinator, Event Planning

Responsibilities: Assists Students with Event Planning. Supervises the club and organization formation process. 

B ackground: David is the Coordinator of Event Planning.  His main responsibilities include the oversight of Event Planning for Student Organizations and the student administrative staff.  He involves himself in many campus committees and initiatives including the Division of Student Affairs Staff Development, Homecoming, and Camp Owls. David originally began his career at FAU in Admissions in 2001.  After leaving FAU to become a Recruiter for 6 years to assist people in finding jobs, he returned to his passion, higher education.  David started working in the Student Involvement & Leadership Office in December 2009.  David is a proud alumnus of Florida Atlantic University graduating with his Master’s in Higher Education Leadership in 2012 and has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Towson University.  In addition to working with student organizations, David’s higher education background experience includes the areas of admissions, new student orientations, Fraternity & Sorority Life and student housing. Most of all, David enjoys his current role, working with student organizations and assisting them with their event planning needs.

Pamela Michalski

Graduate Assistant, Programs and Events

Background: Pamela began working at the Student Union as a Graduate Assistant in July of 2012. She graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management. Pamela is currently pursuing her Master’s in Higher Education Leadership at Florida Atlantic University. She enjoys planning programs and always looks forward to chatting with students in the Union.

Jenna English

Graduate Assistant, Marketing and Events

Background: Jenna is a recent graduate from Florida Atlantic University and is continuing her education by pursuing a Masters degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing. She has previously interned with the FAU Student Union during her undergraduate career and has experience in creating advertisements and helping student organizations plan events. Jenna enjoys all aspects of Marketing and event planning and has now returned as a Graduate Assistant. She is devoted to helping you with all your marketing and event needs!

Carole and Barry Kaye Performing Arts Auditorium

Danell McKeel
Auditorium House Manager, Student Union

Reponsibilities:  Management of Kaye Auditorium House Staff and volunteer ushers.  Oversight of front-of-house operations for the Auditorium.

Background: Danell has worked at FAU for fifteen years in the Student Union and Kaye Auditorium.  She has extensive knowledge of the Auditorium operations, policies, and capabilities, as well as knowledge of the box office.   Danell’s years of experience, and connections to the campus and community make her a valuable asset for customers, staff, and students.   The way in which the Auditorium brings the campus and community together is one of Danell’s favorite parts of working at FAU. 

Arnold "Woody" Dolan
Auditorium Technical Production Specialist, Student Union

Responsibilities:  Production supervision for events in the Kaye Auditorium and other events in the Student Union.

Background:   Arnold (Woody) Doland has worked in the Student Union for nine years.  Prior to that, he was the Technical Director for the Musicana Supper Club in Boca Raton.   Woody has developed his passion of lighting and sound design for working as a private contractor for schools, theaters, and concert tours.  Originally, Arnold is from Chicago but has lived and worked in South Florida since 1980.  The expansion of FAU as an institution is one thing that Woody has enjoyed being a part of in the past nine years.
