Orientation
Orientation is a structured interactive session that provides new incoming transfer students with the tools, information and resources (catalog) necessary for academic success at FAU. Major university policies and procedures as well as support services are given in a short program offered both during the day and in the evening. As part of orientation, students have an opportunity to meet with an academic advisor to discuss coursework. The mandatory orientation program is planned to introduce you to the Honors College community, faculty staff, and students. Social and informative college activities are scheduled to help ease your transition into college life. There are fees for both the student and their parents/guests. Fall 2010 Orientation will begin August 18, 2010 with Family Day: students and parents attend information sessions during the day. Activities and advising take place for students the rest of the week, and classes at the Honors College begin on Monday August 23, 2010.
(The orientation segment of the program runs for one hour. Group advising immediately follows orientation.)
